Nvidia Reveals AI Inference Strategy and Autonomous Driving Partnerships at GTC Conference
Nvidia's AI Inference Strategy
Nvidia announced at its GTC conference in San Jose its plan to generate its 'next trillion dollars' through AI inference technology. CEO Jensen Huang discussed making AI cheaper and bringing robots to factories and streets. The process of an AI chatbot answering questions, writing code, or planning a vacation is called 'inference,' which operates on what tech experts call 'tokens.' Nvidia intends to lower the cost of these tokens to make AI more accessible and affordable for daily use.
Expansion in AI Agents and Autonomous Driving
During the conference, Nvidia showcased a self-driving car that can explain its actions. They also announced partnerships with companies like Nissan, BYD, and Geely to expand this technology. Another significant revelation was 'OpenClaw,' a new software designed to act as an AI agent. OpenClaw can be installed on computers or phones to assemble various AI systems to carry out tasks such as planning meals, trips, or organizing projects. Nvidia plans to develop its own version of this AI agent, a move that is expected to address concerns regarding the misuse of personal login and financial information that has been associated with some existing AI agent implementations.
