Iran Eases Internet Restrictions, Boosting Economic Hopes
Authorities in Iran have reportedly begun gradually easing internet restrictions that have been in place for several months, according to local residents. He added that online businesses, which heavily rely on the internet, suffered significant harm due to the restrictions, and this relaxation will alleviate their difficulties.
Censorship Remains a Concern for Businesses
Regarding the restoration of internet services, resident Pantea expressed her happiness that businesses can return to normal operations. She mentioned her past experience running an online shop and selling products, emphasizing that this measure would definitely benefit individuals like herself. However, Pantea also pointed out that censorship remains an issue, suggesting that many problems would be resolved if authorities could provide a good and correct solution to this matter. The internet shutdown is estimated to have cost the Iranian economy $30-40 million per day.
