AI to Drive Growth in Livestock & Cancer Diagnosis Markets by 2026, China's Entertainment Industry Faces 'Winter'

AI to Drive Growth in Livestock and Cancer Diagnosis Markets

According to data released by Report Ocean (株式会社レポートオーシャン), Artificial Intelligence (AI) is expected to lead rapid growth in several industries from 2026 to 2035. Specifically, the AI in livestock market is projected to grow from an estimated $745 million in 2025 to $7.826 billion by 2035, with a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 26.5%. Similarly, the AI in cancer diagnosis and treatment market is also anticipated to achieve a CAGR of 19.2% over the same period, accelerating next-generation AI-driven precision medicine and smart cancer diagnosis innovations.

China's Entertainment Industry Faces Crisis Due to AI Actors

In contrast, the Chinese entertainment industry is facing an unprecedented crisis due to the rapid rise of AI actors. As of 2026, numerous actors are losing their jobs, with AI-generated digital actors replacing traditional performers due to their flawless appearance and lower costs. The Hengdian production base, once bustling with actors, is now increasingly deserted. AI modules allow for short film production at just a few thousand yuan, threatening not only actors but also cinematographers and directors with mass unemployment. This has led to former popular bloggers working as early-morning gimbap street vendors and master's degree holders switching to domestic cleaning to survive. In addition to the impact of AI, audience fatigue from the proliferation of low-quality content is also accelerating the overall decline of the industry.
