Citi Upgrades Global AI Market Forecast to $4.2 Trillion
Citigroup has raised its forecast for the global artificial intelligence (AI) market, predicting it will exceed $4.2 trillion by 2030, up from its previous estimate of over $3.5 trillion. This revision is attributed to the faster-than-expected adoption of AI tools by enterprises for coding and automation, as well as strong revenue growth from AI startups such as Anthropic. Citi estimates that approximately $1.9 trillion of this market will be related to enterprise-level AI. The bank highlights that Anthropic is a leader in enterprise AI, demonstrating strong momentum in software development, task automation, and agent workflows, with about 80% of its revenue coming from enterprise clients.
