Iran Warns Gulf States: End Oil Production If Attacked from Their Territory
Iran Issues Warning to Gulf States
Iran's Revolutionary Guards have threatened to cease oil production in West Asia if Gulf neighbors allow their territories to be used for attacks against the Islamic Republic. According to Fars News Agency, Brigadier General Sayyed Majid Mousavi, commander of the Revolutionary Guard Aerospace Force, stated that southern neighbors should be aware that if their geography and facilities are utilized to attack the Iranian nation, they should bid farewell to oil production. This threat emerged as a 14-day ceasefire deadline approached and prior to U.S. President Donald Trump's announcement of a ceasefire extension.
Threat to U.S. Military Facilities and Energy Industry
During a prior 40-day conflict, Gulf countries found themselves directly on the firing line. Iran initially targeted U.S. military bases, facilities, and personnel within these nations but later broadened its scope to include energy facilities, desalination plants, and even population centers. In his message, Mousavi commended the Iranian people for supporting forces on the ground, asserting, "From now on, if the enemy so much as twitches and dares to encroach on our sacred soil, we will strike wherever you say." Overnight, pro-military rallies were held in Tehran, where the Revolutionary Guards were seen displaying ballistic missiles. Footage aired by Iranian state television showed armed men on a missile resembling the Ghadr ballistic missile in the Iranian capital, with supporters chanting anti-U.S. and anti-Israel slogans.
