Trump Escalates Threats, Issues Ultimatum to Iran
President Donald Trump has issued a stark warning to Iran, demanding that it open the Strait of Hormuz by Tuesday evening. In a social media post, Trump stated, "Tuesday will be Power Plant Day and Bridge Day, all wrapped up in one, in Iran. There will be nothing like it!!! Open the F------ Strait, you crazy bastards, or you'll be living in Hell." He concluded the post with "Praise be to Allah." This direct threat signals a significant escalation in tensions between the United States and Iran, following the recent downing of a U.S. aviator over Iranian airspace.
Daring Rescue of U.S. Aviator in Iran
New details have emerged regarding the complex and dangerous rescue of a U.S. aviator shot down over Iran on Friday. According to U.S. officials and White House sources, the operation involved dozens of U.S. commandos and several dozen warplanes and helicopters. The CIA played a crucial role, employing a tactic to spread false information inside Iran that U.S. forces had already found the aviator and were transporting him by ground out of the country. This deception was designed to deter Iranian forces, who were reportedly scouring the mountainous terrain with the promise of a huge cash reward. American forces also blew up two C-130 transport planes on a remote base in Iran to prevent them from falling into enemy hands, a standard U.S. military practice. The F-15 pilot was rescued within hours, sustaining some injuries, while the second crewman was seriously wounded.
Iran Retaliates with Missile Strikes Across the Gulf
Iran has responded defiantly to the U.S. military actions, firing missiles that hit several targets in the Gulf region. These strikes included an oil refinery in Iraq and residential buildings in Haifa, Israel. Video footage showed rescue workers at the damaged building in Haifa and other sites across Bahrain, Kuwait, Dubai, and Saudi Arabia. The Iranian government claims that more than a dozen people were killed in these attacks. The ongoing exchange of hostilities, including a fierce U.S. bombing campaign that destroyed Iran's biggest bridge linking Tehran to key cities, has brought the region to the brink of further conflict.
