Premature Babies Evacuated from Gaza Return Home After Two Years
Premature Babies Return to Gaza After Two Years
In the initial months of the Israel-Hamas conflict, eleven premature babies in life-threatening conditions, requiring intensive care, were evacuated from the neonatal units at Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza. These infants were transferred outside the besieged enclave for specialized medical attention. After approximately two years, and with their health conditions significantly improved, these children have now returned to their homes via the Rafah Border Crossing on March 30.
Emotional Reunions for Families
The return of these children was made possible by their recovery and the reopening of the border crossing. Families, who had been separated from their babies for an extended period, warmly welcomed them back to Gaza. The video captures emotional scenes of relatives embracing and shedding tears of joy upon their reunion, highlighting a moment of hope amidst the ongoing challenges of the region.
