Growing Concerns Over AI's Impact on Daily Life and Education
Negative perceptions of Artificial Intelligence (AI) are increasing in the United States. According to a recent Quinnipiac University poll, 55% of Americans believe that AI's impact on daily life is more detrimental than beneficial. This represents a significant increase from 44% in April 2025. In the education sector, 64% of respondents said AI has a negative impact, and in healthcare, 45% perceived it as harmful.
Job Loss Prospects and Low Trust in AI Information
Concerns about AI's impact on the job market are also rising, with 70% of respondents believing that advancements in AI could lead to job reductions, up from 56% in April 2025. Specifically, 71% of white-collar workers and 73% of blue-collar workers expressed this view. Furthermore, trust in information generated by AI remains low, with 76% of Americans reporting low trust, and 27% stating they rarely trust AI.
