Over 4 in 10 Koreans Use AI, Expanding into Daily Life and Work
Widespread Adoption of AI Services
According to the '2025 Internet Usage Survey' released by the Ministry of Science and ICT, 44.5% of Koreans aged three and above have experienced generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) services. Notably, the rate of encountering AI services in daily life has more than doubled over the past four years, indicating that AI is deeply integrating into the lives of the populace.
Increase in Internet Usage Rate and Time
The survey also revealed that the internet usage rate among Koreans increased by 0.5 percentage points from the previous year, reaching 95.0%. Furthermore, internet users accessed the internet at least once a day, spending an average of 21.6 hours per week online. This reaffirms that the internet is an essential means of communication and information acquisition in modern society.
