British Man in Iran Criticizes Government 'Abandonment'

Craig Foreman, a British man held in a prison in Tehran, has criticized the UK government for 'abandoning' him and his wife. He and his partner Lindsay were arrested in January last year while on a round-the-world motorcycle trip through Iran. They were subsequently sentenced to 10 years in jail after being accused of spying. Speaking from prison in Tehran, Mr. Foreman expressed his disappointment and called on the government to 'step out of the shadows' to provide assistance.

Sentenced to 10 Years on Spying Charges

Craig Foreman and his partner Lindsay were detained in January 2023 during their travels in Iran. They were accused of spying and consequently received a 10-year prison sentence. Mr. Foreman, currently incarcerated in an Iranian prison, is strongly urging the British government to intervene and actively work towards their release, claiming a lack of proactive support thus far.
