Lee Jang-woo Clarifies Full Payment Amidst Sundaeguk Restaurant Unpaid Ingredients Controversy
Controversy Over Unpaid Ingredient Fees at Sundaeguk Restaurant
Recently, a media outlet reported that a sundaeguk (Korean blood sausage soup) restaurant, in which actor Lee Jang-woo is involved in operations, had failed to pay 40 million won in ingredient fees to a livestock product distribution company. In response to this report, Lee Jang-woo's agency clarified that while Lee Jang-woo is a shareholder and participates in the restaurant's operation, he is not the direct owner of the establishment.
Lee Jang-woo's Side Takes 'Moral Responsibility' and Completes Payment
Lee Jang-woo's side explained that the restaurant had already paid the supplier for the delivered goods, and the problem arose because this supplier failed to pay the distribution company. They added that although there is no direct contractual relationship between Lee Jang-woo and the distribution company, they feel a moral responsibility for not adequately overseeing the intermediate company's payment fulfillment.
