IRGC Dares US to Enter Persian Gulf, Flaunts Missile Capabilities
Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has challenged the United States to enter the Persian Gulf, asserting its military prowess. Brigadier General Ali Mohammad Naeini, an IRGC spokesperson, stated that the missiles Iran has used in the conflict so far are a decade old and that their newer, more advanced missiles are yet to be deployed. He claimed Iran's offensive capabilities have grown significantly since the previous 12-day war.
Trump's Claims of Iran's Military Defeat Amid US Calls for Warships
This comes as US President Donald Trump claims Iran's military has been "essentially defeated." However, the US has sought help from several countries to police the Strait of Hormuz. Brigadier General Naeini warned Washington that American naval forces lack the courage to approach the Persian Gulf, asserting that the Strait of Hormuz remains under complete Iranian control. Separately, Mohsen Rezaei, a former senior commander of the IRGC, stated that the US must leave the Persian Gulf region for the war to end, adding that no single American Navy vessel will be allowed to enter the Persian Gulf.
