However, despite these teething problems, the launch was largely in line with expectations, according to the MTR Corporation.
MTR Deploys 200 Staff, Reports 'Smooth' Overall Operation
The MTR Corporation stated that overall operations had been "smooth" following the departure of the first train at 6 am, despite these "isolated" glitches. Approximately 200 staff members were deployed to ensure the Tsuen Wan Line ran normally. The corporation emphasized that such minor issues are expected during the initial phase of a new system's rollout.
