Mojtaba Khamenei, son of Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has been officially confirmed to have sustained injuries in a recent attack. The Iranian Ambassador to Cyprus stated in an interview with the UK's Guardian newspaper that Mojtaba was attacked while with Khamenei, sustaining injuries to his legs, hands, and arms, and is believed to be currently hospitalized. On March 9, Iranian state television referred to Mojtaba as a "Janbaz (wounded veteran) of the Ramadan War," emphasizing his continuation of the path of martyrs.
