IRGC Requests Tips on US Troop Locations in Region
IRGC Seeks Information on US Troop Locations
Iran's state-run Tasnim News Agency reported that the intelligence arm of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has called on citizens in the region to provide information on US troops. The IRGC urged citizens to identify and report the locations of US military personnel, including hotels and private accommodations. The Revolutionary Guard claimed that approximately 11,000 US troops are currently staying in hotels and similar establishments throughout the region.
'Human Shields' Accusation, Call for Tips
The IRGC also accused the United States of using Arab civilians as 'human shields'. Concurrently, it openly encouraged citizens to send information about US military locations via Telegram. This request is interpreted as a direct intelligence-gathering activity that could further escalate regional tensions.
