Refugees who had fled conflict zones such as Sudan and Ethiopia and settled in Beirut, Lebanon, are now, due to Israeli and U.S. airstrikes, suffering the ravages of war once again. They had left their homelands seeking peace, but in Lebanon, they have lost everything for a second time.

A France24 journalist met and interviewed families who have sought refuge in a Jesuit church in the Lebanese capital. Despite having fled conflict in their homelands, these families are experiencing the pain of losing everything due to the renewed airstrikes and are feeling a profound sense of loss.
