NiDCOM Emphasizes Support for Safe Evacuation
Abike Dabiri-Erewa, Chairperson/CEO of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), announced the evacuation of citizens from Iran via her X (formerly Twitter) account. She explained that officials from the Nigerian Embassy in Tehran are coordinating the evacuation efforts and assisting citizens with safe passage to Armenia. Chairperson Dabiri-Erewa added that there have been no direct casualties among Nigerian nationals in Iran due to the current tensions in the Middle East, emphasizing that the safety of its citizens remains the top priority.
