'WWE Taught Trump This': Mick Foley Declares Split from WWE
Trump's 'Repetitive Strategy' and WWE
WWE Hall of Famer and legendary wrestler Mick Foley recently stated in an interview that President Donald Trump learned the importance of 'repeating a single idea until it becomes an undeniable fact' from WWE. President Trump maintained a deep relationship with WWE, regularly appearing on its shows from the 1980s through the 2000s. In fact, former WWE executive Linda McMahon served as Education Secretary in the Trump administration, and a photo of President Trump with the McMahon family at the White House was also released. Foley also joked that all four individuals in the photo had experienced a 'Stone Cold Stunner' (a famous wrestling move).
Mick Foley Declares Split from WWE
Mick Foley revealed that he terminated his contract with WWE late last year, as the relationship between WWE and President Trump became too close. In October 2025, Foley directly appealed to President Trump via a video message, urging him to curb the harsh policies of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). He criticized President Trump's attitude of not acknowledging mistakes and feeling no need to apologize, stating that this amounts to deceiving himself and the American people. He remarked that even villains in wrestling eventually apologize and undergo a 'process of change,' but President Trump is not yet a 'fully evolved wrestling character.'
